Burger King will try out a snack menu called "Fries, Your Way." Between February 13 and mid-May, the new fries will be tested at Burger King locations in Columbus.
Burger King's "Fries, Your Way" menu will soon include Churro Fries, Mozzarella Fries, and Chicken Fries.
Last year, KFC tried funnel cake fries, but Churro Fries are small strips of fried pastry dough with cinnamon sugar on them.
Mozzarella Fries are marinara-sauced, breaded mozzarella sticks. There will be options for 4, 8, and 12 pieces of fries.
A Burger King employee said that snacking is becoming more popular because people like to eat burgers, fries, and drinks between meals.
Last year, Burger King started the "Reclaim the Flame" campaign, which cost $400 million, to improve its reputation.
"Have It Your Way" was brought back by the campaign. Among these are the unique fries, which can be a snack, a meal, or a dessert.
Online reviewers mostly liked the new fries, but some questioned whether they were really "new."
The new Mozzarella Fries will be different from the Mozzarella Sticks, but the commentators are right: this "new" menu is mostly just a repackaging of old items.
