Chick-fil-A Testing Its First Veggie Sandwich

Even though other fast food places offer veggie burgers and other vegetarian options, Chick-fil-A has stuck with chicken.

The famous Southern chain's first sandwich with a focus on vegetables will have a big slice of cauliflower steak, which will change everything.

On February 13, Chick-fil-A will put its new Cauliflower Sandwich to the test in Denver, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Instead of chicken, the chain will serve big chunks of cauliflower cooked in the same way. The brand's unique spice will be used to marinate and bread the vegetable.

Chick-fil-first A's veggie sandwich wasn't rushed. For four years, the culinary team tried out every vegetable to make this prototype.

"Our culinary team came up with ideas like mushrooms, chickpeas, and chopped vegetables made into patties, but we kept coming back to the cauliflower fillet," Chick-fil-A said.

It looks like the famous chicken sandwich from the chain, which makes it a great choice. "The star of our new sandwich is cauliflower," said Chick-fil-director A's of menu and packaging A's.

If the sandwich is sold everywhere, vegetarians will love it, but vegans will have to look elsewhere. The company stresses that this sandwich is not vegan but vegetarian.

The chain doesn't have special places to cook food for vegetarians, and it uses milk and eggs.
