Chipotle Is Bringing Back Its Beloved Free Burrito Event

Who says Halloween is only about candy? Chipotle offers complimentary burritos.

The Mexican fast-food company announced that its 22-year-old Boorito campaign would return as an in-person event for the first time since 2019.

Chipotle Rewards members may get a free $6 entrée from 3 p.m. local time until closure on October 31. This follows last year's digital-only Boorito campaign on Roblox.

To redeem your burrito, you must wear a Halloween costume. Open the Chipotle app, hit "SCAN," and scan the member ID at the cashier.

Chipotle has more for Halloween, however. Chipotle will give 10 consumers free burritos for a year in its "BooReal" promotion.

To participate, people simply snap a picture of themselves in costume at a Chipotle on October 31 and

submit it to BeReal, a social networking site that offers users two minutes to post when a daily reminder goes off.

The BeReal post must include #booritosweepstakes and be uploaded to Instagram Stories by tagging @chipotle or sent to sweepstakes@chipotle.com with "BooReal Sweepstakes" in the subject line.

Chipotle's Chief Marketing Officer remarked, "Boorito is all about having fun with your friends and eating genuine food."

Chipotle will provide $25,000 to Chipotle Rewards members through Cash App. To participate, sign up for Chipotle Rewards, follow @chipotletweets, and

respond with $cashtag and #ChipotleBoorito on October 13, 20, 25, or 27. Chipotle will provide $5,000 throughout the first three days and $10,000 on October 27.
