Starbucks fans have been flocking to Costco for years to buy K-Cup pods and full coffee beans. The big-box store is introducing another Starbucks breakfast dish.
The Uncured Bacon & Gruyere variant resembles Starbucks' Bacon and Gruyère Egg Bites, which are prepared with
applewood-smoked bacon and aged Gruyère Monterey Jack cheeses wrapped inside cage-free eggs.
Starbucks "prepared using the French'sous vide' process to achieve a silky texture that's rich of taste."
Several people tagged other social media users in the comments to inform them of the merchandise sighting. Others showed enthusiasm.
"Wonderful! I'll finally visit my crazy Costco! "Instagrammer remarked. "I may have to acquire a Costco [membership] for this alone," another said.
One Facebook user who bought the goods yesterday stated there are "five portions of two bites," totaling 10.
Costco sells egg bites for $14.79, making each two-pack $3. Two Starbucks Bacon and Gruyère Egg Bites cost $4.95.
Costco introduced Three Bridges' Cheese & Uncured Bacon Egg Bits and Spinach & Bell Pepper Egg Bites, which were likened to Starbucks' menu items, years before this week's egg bite hoopla.
