Costco's Kirkland Signature Cold Brew Recalled

It's nice to have a hot cup of coffee on cold days, but not all year long. Cold-brewed coffee gives you caffeine without making you hotter.

Cold brew is made by soaking ground coffee in water for 18 hours or more, which gives the water a coffee flavour and caffeine.

Cold brew is available at most supermarkets. Costco sells their own version of cold brew. Costco members can buy a 12-pack of Kirkland Signature Colombian Cold Brew Coffee for $18.99.

Still, packets of this cold brew sold between certain dates are being recalled, so members should check their cabinets.

All 12-packs of Kirkland Signature Cold Brew Coffee from November 5, 2022, to February 10, 2023, are affected.

Check the code dates on the can or cardboard packaging to see if the product has been recalled. Costco will pay back for any recalled packs.

Berner Food & Beverage says you shouldn't drink the leftover cold brew because it might be contaminated with bolts.

The good news is that Costco and Berner Food & Beverage are taking steps to keep the product from hurting people. In the Costco subreddit, Costco members have expressed worries.

Whoever finds the bolt might get a reward. Others say they'll keep drinking and bring the empty cans back for a full refund.

Even if you don't get a bolt, you should take product recalls seriously.
