Even shoppers' favorite Costco products are scrutinized. In February, members complained about the retailer's $4.99 rotisserie chickens' "chemical" taste.
Some Costco buyers have criticized the ingredient list in a new gyro meal package that other members have praised.
Concerned shoppers are now scrutinizing a popular sauce used on Mexican and other dishes.
This week, Reddit users rejoiced over the reappearance of a cilantro-lime-sour cream sauce. Costco only sells the two-pack item periodically.
This is the same crema in bottle form as the meal kit's Chicken Street Tacos, one of Costco's greatest meals.
Many shoppers agree that the crema is good, but its shelf life difficulties overshadowed its comeback.
One consumer said, "It's great but use up the bottle swiftly!" after a week or two in the fridge.
"I adore this but I've noticed it expires way faster than the families can get through 2 containers," another said.
This issue was noticed by other shoppers. Customers offered advice for those who didn't want to give up their Don Pancho sauce but wanted to keep it fresh.
Another advised freezing the bottle to leave room for its contents to expand. The sauce shouldn't be frozen.
Shoppers suggested topping eggs, salmon, quesadillas, rice bowls, salads, and breakfast burritos with the sauce while it's in stock.
