Dunkin's Newest Breakfast Tacos Are a Huge Miss

Dunkin's first breakfast tacos were a risky move this month. Even though the brand is good at coffee, doughnuts, and breakfast sandwiches,

the new dish is meant to compete with Taco Bell's breakfast burritos and quesadillas.

One of Dunkin's menu items isn't selling well. A company executive called the new breakfast tacos "one of the best savory dishes we've introduced at Dunkin'," but many customers disagree.

A warm flour tortilla has scrambled eggs, white cheddar cheese, fire-roasted corn, lime crema, and optional bacon.

Dunkin's promotional photos showed breakfast tacos with lots of scrambled eggs and other toppings, but customers are getting something much less appealing.

A customer posted a photo of a Dunkin' Donuts breakfast taco with almost no filling on Reddit's "Expectation vs. Reality" section. "Is there really anything there? Looks empty, "a Redditor said.

People on Reddit have posted more than 370 comments bashing Dunkin' and the menu item. "Most terribly sad breakfast taco ever," said one commenter.

Despite the criticism, some fans like the new menu option. Last week, Baltimore Ravens fullback Pat Ricard tweeted that Dunkin' breakfast tacos are

"really not half terrible," but other customers' anger suggests that Dunkin' may have a problem with how they make their food.

After dropping the Dunkaccino, Dunkin's fans were disappointed by the morning taco fiasco. Dunkin's response to concerns about breakfast tacos was late.
