Because they're healthy, doctors and nutritionists tell us to eat more fiber-rich, nutrient-dense fruits and veggies! It's true.

Blueberries, spinach, carrots, broccoli, and mushrooms have been shown to improve health. But what if you're exposed to dangerous pesticides?

According to the non-profit group's newest research, more than 75% of non-organic fresh food marketed in the U.S. includes pesticide residues.

Last year's group research had a lower proportion. Federal data from hundreds of samples of 46 conventionally cultivated fruits and vegetables was used to create the study.

This data is used to develop two lists: the "Dirty Dozen," which contains the most pesticide-affected food, and the "Clean Fifteen," which includes the least contaminated produce.

Blueberries and green beans replace tomatoes and celery in the "Dirty Dozen" this year, but strawberries stay at the top.

The USDA found more pesticide residues in blueberries and green beans than in 2014 and 2016. Both food samples contained 90% of the contaminants.

Here is the full list of fruits and veggies with the most pesticides:
