How To Score Free Refills From Starbucks

Starbucks aficionados may be skeptical of free refills. For years, social media has spread misinformation about Starbucks' refill policy.

Some think the strange free refill policy applies to all Starbucks stores, not just Target ones. Starbucks offers free refills, as a TikTok staffer confirmed.

Before you hurry to your local store for a second Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew, there are three key stipulations.

The most essential rule is that consumers can only get a free refill on a drink if they buy it using a verified Voucher or the Starbucks app, according to the Starbucks website.

Requesting a refill requires the same Starbucks Card or Starbucks account in the app as the original transaction.

Second, the refill may not be the same drink you ordered. For instance, you cannot order a second Pink Drink or one of the controversial Oleato olive oil-infused lattes.

Third and last, you must request your refill within the same retail visit. The policy allows customers to get a free refill if they finish a drink before leaving the business.

"After you leave the store, your visit has ended, and each subsequent coffee or tea refill thereafter will be deemed a new transaction," the Starbucks policy states.

Overall, free refills are limited. In this economy, coffee enthusiasts may welcome the option to get a second caffeine jolt for free.

Starbucks' policy allows non-registered customers to get discounted refills.
