KFC's popular chicken sandwich will be redesigned in 2021. McDonald's will launch three chicken sandwiches on Feb. 24.
The KFC Chicken Sandwich will replace the Crispy Colonel Sandwich by the end of February because it doesn't "live up to our history as fried chicken masters."
Spring 2020 sales for the new sandwich nearly quadrupled in Orlando, Fla. So is the sandwich.
It has a 25% bigger white meat, double-breaded, fried quarter-pound fillet. It's also topped with mayo or spicy sauce and crinkle-cut pickles.

Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Louisville, Sacramento, and Tulsa will offer the KFC Chicken Sandwich on Jan. 7.
The new sandwich's nutrition facts are unknown.
But the old one includes 470 calories, 24 grammes of fat, 1,170 milligrammes of sodium, 39 grammes of carbohydrates, and 24 grammes of protein.
