explore now

Starbucks aficionados get a morning sandwich. The coffee chain is testing a dairy-free breakfast offering. One location in Washington offers a vegan Plant-Powered Breakfast Sandwich.

The Plant Powered Breakfast Sandwich has an Impossible sausage patty, a plant-based egg patty, and plant-based cheddar-style cheese.

Unconfirmed reports say the sandwich contains JUST Egg. Starbucks confirmed the dish was being tested and that it was only available temporarily.

This Starbucks sandwich is unique. The company started serving the vegetarian-friendly Impossible Breakfast Sandwich this summer.

It's made with Impossible sausage, a cage-free fried egg, and aged cheddar cheese. While high in salt, the Impossible sandwich has 22 grammes of protein.

The vegetarian sandwich was different from the Reduced-Fat Turkey Bacon and Egg White Breakfast Sandwich, Bacon, Gouda, and

Egg Sandwich, and Roasted Ham, Swiss, and Egg Sandwich. First time the chain has offered vegan menu choices.

Starbucks vegan breakfast sandwich is $5.45 in Issaquah, Wash. We're testing more menu items.

Vegan Potato Bake Bites cost $4.75. Chickpea bites are also being studied. The Issaquah café tested vegan cream cheese in September.
