This week, Taco Bell added five new and returning menu items to surprise fans. The cost put some clients off the new items.

This week, Taco Bell added the Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito and Bacon Club Chalupa, which had previously been on the menu.

Taco Bell's website lists the Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito for $3.49 and the Bacon Club Chalupa at $4.99. Several buyers discovered how much suggested costs varied by geography.

A Taco Bell subreddit user posted a $6.39 Bacon Club Chalupa. Redditors were appalled by the item's pricing and voiced their disgust.

"These costs have made me quit going. Cheaper, higher-quality food elsewhere." "Yikes. I like local or Qdoba or Chipotle. I can't justify that price "remarked.

Redditors had a similar issue with the Double Beef Grilled Cheese Burrito, which has two servings of marinated meat, seasoned rice, and sauce.

Reddit users called these pricing "crazy" and suggested Chipotle or a real Mexican restaurant would be cheaper.

Others learned that dining in is cheaper than eating out. "Newsflash: Even at normal/regular costs, it's cheaper to eat at home," a Redditor said.

"Our collaborative franchisee-Taco Bell approach implies that restaurant prices and hours vary," a spokeswoman stated in response to pricing complaints.

As you know, we don't disclose our pricing strategy for competitive reasons, but several elements influence it, including local market cost of living, product demand, labor, and food expenses.
