Walmart Launching Grocery Delivery Drones In 6 States

Walmart is America's largest and popular grocery chain. This chain is now going to use drones for delivery.

Yesterday, Dallas, Orlando, Phoenix, and Tampa debuted a high-tech same-day delivery service.

The firm intends to expand to Utah and Virginia in the near future. If the proposal is effective, it will cover 4 million residences in six states.

Walmart first tested this program in Northwest Arkansas.

These facilities supply tens of thousands of products—up to ten pounds every trip for safety. Airdropping eggs is effective.

Customers' orders will arrive in as little as half an hour thanks to the cutting-edge delivery technology. The cost of airborne delivery is $3.99 per order placed.

Walmart began adopting the remote-piloted programme in 2017 after investing in DroneUp, a Virginia Beach-based startup that was recently included on

Fast Company's "Next Big Things in Tech" list, and has subsequently extended its use.
